This morning someone asked me about wisdom and this is what I came up with:
Wisdom (psychological perspective) is the coordination of knowledge and experience and its deliberate use to improve well being.
A wise person can discern the core of important problems. By being honest with myself and admitting to myself that 99% of the time it is my thinking that is causing me discomfort in my life.
I gain "self knowledge” in many ways as I trudge the road to happy destiny. One by doing a 4th step and the next by doing a 5th and learning to be sincere and direct with others. Something I failed to do in a positive way when I was drinking and drugging.
I also gain wisdom by going to meetings and keeping my mouth shut and listening to others after asking advice. I use the phone numbers, I learned to dial them and not file them.
I begin to live a spiritual program with the knowledge I have gained about the principles of this program and I give back.
As a result of this "psychic change" I attempt to keep my actions consistent with my new ethical beliefs.
and finally I thank GOD for another day on his earth, good or bad.
